Turkey’s Kanal 7 renews Karamel Yapim dramas Redemption and Legacy

Redemption, known locally as Esaret, is a 255×45′ series about a businessman who seeks revenge after his sister goes missing, while Legacy (Emanet) is a 849×45’ drama about a woman forced to take care of her late sister’s young son.

Kanal 7 has bought the second season of Redemption and the third season of Legacy, with both shows set to be broadcast in September. Night Train Media-owned Eccho Rights handles international distribution for both titles.

“The daily drama space is fiercely competitive in Turkey, with at least eight currently in production and airing across the major broadcasters each week,” said Handan Özkubat, director of Turkish drama at Eccho Rights.

“We’re proud to represent Redemption and Legacy. International buyers are lining up to acquire these long-running, ratings-winning dramas.”
